Are you a frequent user of our Extension’s soil testing laboratory? We wanted to let you know about some changes they are implementing in 2023! You can still pick up soil testing kits (boxes & info on how to collect a sample) here at the Marshall County Extension Office.

The lab is transitioning from paper submission forms to online-only submission forms (even when paying via physical check/money order). For detailed instructions on how to complete the online submission form, visit here: http://ow.ly/u4ct50LXSzW

There will be a new fee schedule starting Jan 1, 2023. A basic soil test will now be $10. To see all the updated fees visit here: http://ow.ly/BmSI50LXSzV

The soil testing lab website now also contains detailed instructions on how to interpret soil tests – including instructions on using a fertilizer calculator. View here: http://ow.ly/cQx050LXSzX
