Need a little fun for the kids while the kids are out of school for Thanksgiving break?

Fun with Food is a free program to teach children between the ages of nine and twelve about healthy eating, food preparation skills, and being active. The program is taught as a two day camp. Fun with Food includes food demostrations and hands-on learning. Topics inlcude: Kitchen and food safety, foods and flavors, MyPlate, water as a beverage, being active, and sources of food. Children will learn how to select foods using MyPlate, participate in games to promote learning, use math and time management in meal preparation, etc.
