The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office released its report on calls for service and arrests from April 9 to April 12, detailing incidents across several communities in Jackson County.

The report provides insight into the types of crimes and law enforcement activities occurring locally. It covers thefts, assaults, domestic disputes, burglaries, public intoxication, auto thefts, drug-related offenses, and other incidents handled by deputies during this period.

On April 9, residents reported a theft on Highway 613 in Escatawpa and harassing phone calls in St. Martin. Additional reports included an assault by threat and a domestic dispute. The following day saw more harassment complaints as well as a burglary reported by two individuals in St. Martin. Deputies arrested Dean Waltman for failure to yield to an emergency vehicle and driving under the influence.

April 11 included reports of suspicious persons, domestic violence—simple assault—and malicious mischief across Ocean Springs, Vancleave, Moss Point and St. Martin. Arrests were made for public intoxication (Trenton Miller), disorderly conduct (Ryan Taylor), possession of controlled substance (Maritiza Zaragoza), lack of driver’s license or insurance (Hector Garcia), among others.

On April 12 there were further arrests related to domestic violence—simple assault (Jashard Brandy), felony possession of controlled substance (Timothy Nicholson), DUI with reckless driving (Inderjett) as well as multiple malicious mischief cases reported throughout Moss Point and Ocean Springs.

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office serves the communities of Gautier, Moss Point, Pascagoula and Ocean Springs through specialized divisions such as patrol operations, criminal investigations and detention management according to the official website.
