0Comments

NEW! Our Singing River Genealogy and Local History Library has digitized many Jackson County School Registers and Enumerations of Educable Children! These are now accessible digitally in our PAC (public access catalog)! Try it out!

Go to www.JGRLS.org and try a search (in the center of the page). Simply type in ‘school register’ or ‘enumeration’ in the search bar and browse through to see what school record is available. You can view the records instantly by clicking on the “More Options” button.

This is an ongoing project since there are many records to add. So please be patient with us as we continue to make these available.

NOTE: We are only doing the school years up until the 1950s since we are following along with the census releases and as far back as the Greenhead Enumeration of Educable Children -1898!
