Pearl River County announced on April 8 that it will host a free Unclaimed Money & Property Assistance Event to help residents identify and claim funds or property through the State of Mississippi. The event is scheduled for Tuesday, April 14, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the McNeill Community Center.

The initiative aims to connect local residents with resources that may help them recover assets they are entitled to but have not yet claimed. Staff will be available at the event to assist attendees in searching for unclaimed money or property and filing claims.

Organizers encourage participants to bring any required documentation needed for the claims process in order to make their experience as smooth as possible. More information about unclaimed property and how citizens can begin their search is available on the Mississippi Treasury website at https://treasury.ms.gov/for-citizens/unclaimed-property/learn/.

The county says this event provides an opportunity for individuals who may not be aware of existing unclaimed funds or property in their name. Residents are encouraged not to miss this chance to recover assets that rightfully belong to them.
