(WASHINGTON, D.C.) – On May 17, 2023, United States Representative Bennie G. Thompson (D-MS) welcomes a new intern to his Washington, D.C. office. Caleb Bearman is a native of Madison, Mississippi. He is the son of Chuck and Mary Ann Bearman. Caleb is a junior at Pepperdine University in Malibu, California, majoring in Political Science. He is a Dean’s List Scholar, a Helen Young Scholar, and a member of Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity. Caleb was the International Disaster Response and Recovery Team Intern for the Salvation Army World Service Office in the Fall of 2022.

He is a 2021 summa cum laude graduate of Madison Central High School, where he was a member of the National Honor Society, Mock Trial Team, Academic Team, and many other activities. Caleb is an Eagle Scout of Troop 164 and a member of the Board of Directors of the Lucas Foundation for Better Living. He actively participated in Lipscomb University’s ENGAGE Program, the Diabetes Foundation of Mississippi, Memphis Workcamp, Mississippi Food Network, and Stewpot Community Services. He is a lifelong member of Meadowbrook Church of Christ in Jackson, Mississippi.
