U.S. Senator Roger Wicker of Mississippi has expressed support for President Donald Trump’s recent nominations to the United States District Court for the Northern District of Mississippi. The nominees are Mississippi Supreme Court Justices Robert Chamberlin and James Maxwell.

In a statement released from Tupelo, Senator Wicker said, “I want to thank President Donald Trump for his nomination of two solid and experienced jurists for the U.S. District Court. I wholeheartedly support Justice Chamberlin and Justice Maxwell and look forward to their speedy confirmation.”

Both nominees currently serve on the Mississippi Supreme Court. Their selection is subject to Senate confirmation before they can assume their roles in the federal judiciary.
