On Saturday Sergeant Lilliana Torjia with The 1108th TASMG was recognized at the Non Commissioned Officer Association Convention.

Sergeant Torjia was awarded the G.V. “Sonny” Montgomery Award. This award is intended to highlight Soldiers and Airman who exhibit superior leadership in the Mississippi Army/Air National Guard.

This honor for her comes as no surprise to the members of the Pearl River County Sheriff’s Department who have the privilege to work along side her. Deputy Torjia continues to exhibit the highest standards as a Soldier, Deputy Sheriff, Mother to her three daughters, and citizen who serves those around her showing Gods grace through her scripture driven leadership style in all she does.

Matthew 20: 28 just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”
