Update on Logan Evans (Class of 2022) from his mom, Katrina Evans.
First of all, thank you so much for all the phone calls, texts, visits and most of all the prayers. Please continue to be in prayer for Logan. We are overwhelmed at the number of people praying for our boy and it means the world to us! We do ask that anyone wanting to visit please call or text first to see if he is up for visitors. BJ or I can come down to visit at any time but he may or may not feel like company especially on surgery days. We are letting him say when he feels up to visits. If you don’t have our numbers, you can message me and I’ll send it to you.
I’m not very great with my words on explaining all of this but I will do the best I can. Logan had another surgery today. They went back and cleaned really well again and did have to remove some more skin and muscle that wasn’t surviving. He was in a great deal of pain after the surgery. We are hoping he feels better tomorrow. He will go back for surgery Wednesday. At that time, the plastic surgeon will look to determine if he can work with what is there and the remaining skin and muscle needs to be alive. If not, then they would have to do a mid knee amputation. We are praying hard that it can be left below the knee.
