2021-22 School Year: What were the backgrounds of Pass Christian Public School District students?

White students made up 58.7% of the 1,978 students enrolled in Pass Christian Public School District schools during the 2021-22 school year, making them the most represented ethnicity, according to the Mississippi Department of Education.

This is a 2.2% decrease from the previous school year.

Pass Christian High School had the highest enrollment in the district with 655 students.

A snapshot of Pass Christian Public School District schools showed 58.7% of students were white, 26.5% were Black, 10.7% were multiracial, 1.5% were Hispanic, and 0.6% Asian.

Pass Christian Public School District roughly covers four schools within Harrison County and has a main office in Pass Christian.

Mississippi has continually struggled with public education. The most recent Report Card on American Education, from a right-leaning think tank, gave the state a C-. This is consistent with ratings stretching back nearly a decade.

The nonpartisan Education Week also ranked Mississippi schools as C- in their most recent analysis.
