The Juneteenth Weekend Celebration, which is free and open to all ages, begins on Friday with a 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament at the John Henry Beck Park basketball court, 671 Division St. The tournament begins at 5:30 p.m. and is open to ages 14 to 18 and teams of three to five players. On Saturday, celebrations continue with a unity walk/run, vendor booths, and live entertainment. Those interested in participating in the unity walk/run may register for free beginning at 7:30 a.m. with the walk/run to follow at 9 a.m. The first 100 registrants will receive a T-shirt. As for the course, it is two loops from John Henry Beck Park to O’Reily Park.

Then from 3-9 p.m., there will be a Juneteenth Celebration on the Biloxi Town Green, 710 Beach Blvd. The festivities include vendor booths, food booths, a children’s area, and live entertainment by the Unfazed Band from 7 to 9 p.m.

The celebrations wrap up on Sunday with a family day and picnic back at John Henry Beck Park from 1 to 5 p.m.
